Randy Lewis

At an early age, Randy Lewis expressed an interest in music not knowing where it would take him. Initially playing at church led him to form his own group, which developed into a passion to perform, teach and record music.

Randy was fortunate to work with the artist Jessica Andrews, tour with Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood  and open for acts like Tim McGraw.

Wanting to learn more about the instrument, Randy attended Austin Peay State University and taught guitar at Mary’s Music in Clarksville. He says teaching not only allowed him to teach others, but to also appreciate the art of music through someone else. Randy is still at Mary’s Music, working as a guitar technician.

In his “spare” time, Randy’s attention is geared toward producing as well as engineering, and he is working with several projects.

This combination of music disciplines creates a balance in his music career, which Randy enjoys and for which he is thankful.

Salem Ridge Quartet

The Salem Ridge Quartet began over 20 years ago as an extended ministry of Salem United Methodist Church in Clarksville. After singing a few years around the Clarksville area, the group's members took time off to focus their efforts on raising their families and ministering through foreign missions. In 1994, two of the quartet's original members, Glenn Tankersley (bass) and Barry York (lead), reformed the group as a renewal of their commitment to serving God. Today's group consists of Doc Richardson, Mike Barbee, Travis Gotcher and York.
Together, the group brings much versatility to their audiences with their smooth harmony, balance and rich tone. The group shares a love of the Lord and Southern gospel music. Doc and Barry are wonderful songwriters and have provided the Quartet with several original songs that God laid upon their hearts. Salem Ridge Quartet goes wherever God leads them to share His word. While a large portion of their ministry is in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky, they have traveled as far as Arkansas, North Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma to sing for the Lord.
The group has several musical projects: I Wait for Thee, Burnin'Line, Past and Present, Most Wanted (a live CD), Live at Historic Collinsville, and Travel on Down the Road, all available on cassettes or CD's. Their material will be available in the lobby this evening. Currently, they are going over material for their new project to be released hopefully by Spring 2009. Again, it will contain some original tunes from the group and, as usual, some of the old Southern gospel favorites.
To schedule the Salem Ridge Quartet for a service in your church or with your organization, contact Barry and Sheron York at (931) 647-4247. You can also check out their website,
